Yonglu Li      Assistant Professor

Yong-Lu Li is a tenure-track assistant professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Department of Computer Science and Engineering. In 2021-2022, he worked closely with IEEE fellow Prof. Chi Keung Tang and Prof. Yu-Wing Tai in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as a postdoc fellow. He received a Ph.D. degree (2017-2021) in Computer Science from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, under the supervision of Prof. Cewu Lu, in Machine Vision and Intelligence Group (MVIG). His primary research interests are vision-based learning and reasoning, human activity understanding, and intelligent robotics. Now, he focuses on developing a knowledge-driven vision system (HAKE) that learns to effectively perceive human activities, reason human behavior logics, and interact with objects and environments.


He has published 20+ papers in top-tier CV/AI/ML conferences and journals, such as TPAMI, NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc. He has severed as the reviewer of TPAMI, CVPR, NeurIPS, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, AAAI, etc. He has also won the Baidu Scholarship (10 recipients globally), WAIC YunFan Reward (Rising-star), China National Scholarship, Outstanding Reviewer Award of NeurIPS’21/22, Shanghai Outstanding Doctoral Graduate, Chinese AI New Star Top-100, PhD Fellowship of Yang Yuanqing Education Fund, etc.
